Synopse
Casey, a traffic cop, rescues a wealthy girl, the ward of her millionaire uncle, a banker, when her horse runs away with her in the park. The girl’s uncle embezzles funds from his own bank, but throws suspicion for the crime on Casey’s brother, a teller at the bank. When the girl overhears her uncle’s plot, she warns Casey’s brother so that he may escape, then tells Casey, who helps her in giving her uncle the slip. Casey finds his brother’s diary, which reveals that a bank cashier and the uncle embezzled the funds and conspired to cast suspicion on the teller. After donning a disguise, Casey draws the uncle into his hotel room and shows him the diary. The uncle offers to buy the diary for $5000, but Casey throws off his disguise and arrests him. The thieving cashier is apprehended and once the girl recovers her money, she agrees to marry Casey.

SYNOPSE
Featuring some of the most dangerous stunts ever performed on camera, these three films represent the pinnacle of Jackie Chan’s unique style of Hong Kong action filmmaking. A dazzling blend of gritty action cop drama, impeccably choreographed martial-arts sequences, and bone-crunching stuntwork – this series of films revitalised the Hong Kong action genre and established Jackie Chan as a worldwide superstar.
Police Story (dir. Jackie Chan, 1985) – considered by Jackie Chan himself to be his best film in terms of pure action, Police Story stars Chan as “super cop” Chan Ka-Kui, who goes up against a notorious crime lord in a series of escalating set-pieces that resulted in many of Jackie’s stunt team being hospitalised.
Police Story 2 (dir. Jackie Chan, 1988) – Demoted to traffic cop after the events of the first film, Chan Ka-Kui is reinstated to the detective unit when a deadly gang of explosive experts blow up a building and threaten to blow up more if their demands are not met. Featuring yet more bravura stunt work, and even more injuries to its cast and crew, Police Story 2 is to this day considered one of the best action films ever made.
Policejní příběh 3: Superpolicajt (dir. Stanley Tong, 1992) – Action superstar Michelle Yeoh (Všechno a všude najednou) joins the series as Inspector Yang Chien-Hua, who teams up with Chan Ka-Kui to take down an international drug ring. With some of the most outrageous stunt sequences ever committed to film, Policejní příběh 3: Superpolicajt is an action masterpiece that must truly be seen to be believed.
All three films consistently appear on lists of the best action films ever made, and Eureka Classics is proud to present them on Ultra HD Blu-ray from stunning 4K restorations!

‘Kapatadhaari’ First Look: Sumanth turns into a traffic cop
The first look and motion poster of ‘Kapatadhaari’ were released by Naga Chaitanya a while ago, and Sumanth can be seen stepping into the shoes of traffic cop Gautham. With a Premier Padmini car in the background, ‘ARTICLE 352’ can be seen written on the poster.
After scoring a series of failures at the box-office, popular Telugu actor Sumanth bounced back into form with the surprise success of his rom-com Malli Raava in 2017. He continued the streak with the decent success of Subrahmanyapuram and portrayed the role of his legendary grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NTR biopic. Currently, the 45-year-old actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Kapatadhaari’.

Besides Sumanth, ‘Kapatadhaari’ features an ensemble star cast like Nasser, Nandita Swetha, Jayaprakash, Vennela Kishore, Suman Ranganath and Sampath. Bankrolled by Lalitha Dhananjayan and presented by G Dhananjayan under Creative Entertainers and Distributors, the music of the film is composed by Simon K King and Rasamathi has handled the camera.
