Nekonečné léto
They call it The Endless Summer the ultimate surfing adventure, crossing the globe in search of the perfect wave. From the uncharted waters of West Africa, to the shark-filled seas of Australia, to the tropical paradise of Tahiti and beyond, these California surfers accomplish in a few months what most people never do in a lifetime& They live their dream.
Director Bruce Brown creates a film so powerful it has become a timeless masterpiece that continues to capture the imagination of every new generation. When it first played in theaters, audiences lined up to see it again and again, spellbound by its thrilling excitement and awesome photography. But in fact, what’s most compelling about the film is the sport of surfing itself, and once you’ve seen it, you’ll never forget why.
Point Break
One of the most successful surf movies of all time starring Keanu Reeves and Patrik Swayze. After a string of bizarre bank robberies in Southern California, with the crooks donning masks of various former presidents, a federal agent, Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves), infiltrates the suspected gang. But this is no ordinary group of robbers. They’re surfers — led by the charismatic Bodhi (Patrick Swayze) — who are addicted to the rush of thievery. But when Utah falls in love with a female surfer, Tyler (Lori Petty), who is close to the gang, it complicates his sense of duty.
Chasing Mavericks

Part sports history, part thrill ride, skateboarder Stacy Peralta’s documentary pays homage to the brave, foolish surfers who dare ride the world’s biggest waves. Peralta lays out the evolution of big-wave surfing from the ’50s to today, touching upon changing trends and the constant search for ever larger waves. Then he shifts his focus to a handful of contemporary surfing superstars, among them Jeff Clark, pioneer of San Francisco’s remote waves, and Laird Hamilton, known for tow-in riding.

A natural talent in the sport of surfing, teenager Bethany Hamilton (AnnaSophia Robb) loses an arm in a shark attack. Bolstered by the love of her parents (Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid) and refusing to give up, she plans to return to competition, although questions about her future continue to trouble h er. Upon seeing the devastation in Thailand caused by the 2004 tsunami, Bethany discovers a greater purpose: to make a difference in the lives of others.

1. BLUE CRUSH
This 2002 movie was Kate Bosworth’s breakout role. The plot may be predictable, but it makes up for that with its surfing scenes and likeable cast of characters and actors.
2. POINT BREAK
Is the plotline improbable? Sure. But this 1991 movie about a surfing gang of bank robbers is still a cult classic and has spawned a remake. Go with the original, though – it’s hard to beat the combination of Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.
3. TEEN BEACH MOVIE
If you have kids in your household and you’re looking for a movie the family can watch together, 2013’s Teen Beach Movie is a great pick.
It’s a musical featuring two teenagers who are in love with surfing and each other.
Warning: You’re probably going to have this movie’s catchy songs stuck in your head.
4. GIDGET
This 1959 flick starring Sandra Dee helped surfing go mainstream throughout the U.S. It was the first taste of surfing for many teens who didn’t live near a coast. With great scenery and plenty of teenage drama, it’s a fun classic to watch with the whole family.
5. SEVERNÍ POBŘEŽÍ
North Shore, released in 1987, stars Matt Adler as a teen surfer who wants to give becoming a professional surfer a shot before he enrols in college.
The real star power in this movie might come from the real-life surfers who are featured.
Prominent names include: Gerry Lopez, Shaun Tomson, Laird Hamilton, Mark Occhilupo, and many others.

6. SURF’S UP
Although 2007’s Surf’s Up is an animated movie, it’s a great surfer flick because of the main character’s devotion to the sport. Movie lovers of all ages will be rooting for Cody, a penguin, as he tries to reach his dream of winning a surfing contest.
7. BIG WEDNESDAY
Gary Busey, who was also in Point Break, stars with William Katt and Jan-Michael Vincent in this 1978 coming-of-age surfing movie. If you’re looking for a lighthearted flick, this isn’t it. But for fans of weightier dramas, this is one you’ll want to check out.
8. BEACH PARTY
This 1963 movie, starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello, kicked off a string of beach films, including Beach Blanket Bingo and Bikini Beach.
If you’re looking for scenic views and plenty of singing, you’ll like Beach Party.
9. THE SHALLOWS
If you like a good shark movie, check out 2016’s The Shallows, starring Blake Lively. This thriller features a great white, a determine heroine, and some epic surfing and beach shots.
10. CHASING MAVERICKS
Chasing Mavericks is the dramatized real-life story of surfer Jay Moriarity, who drowned in 2001 while freediving. It follows his journey with surfing after meeting his mentor and surfing legend Frosty Hesson.
